March 9, 2020 - Julian Fernandez
Julian Fernandez is this week’s Wildcat of the Week! From the beginning, Julian has been motivated and ready to tackle any challenges that I give in my classroom. Julian leads his classmates and teammates with a plan of attack and always works with an amazing attitude. I expect Julian to be very successful in the years to come. February 3, 2020 - Raul "Ryan" Andrade
I would like to nominate Raul "Ryan" Andrade. Ryan is a bright and driven young man with many talents and abilities including art, writing, and technology. I truly enjoy having Ryan in my classroom. He works well with others and often has an insightful perspective to contribute to lessons. Ryan is highly motivated, organized, and detail oriented. I have no doubt that Ryan's pursuit of academic excellence will lead success in anything his heart desires. - Marlena Ramirez

February 14, 2020 - Emely Alvarez
Emely is an amazingly gifted student in English language arts and history, who meets or exceeds all expectations and requirements academically. However, the main reason that I chose her to be 'Wildcat of the Week' is her willingness to help others in a thoughtful, caring, and cheerful manner, and she always does so with a smile on her face. February 27, 2020 - Alexandria Rodriguez
My choice for Wildcat of the Week is Alexandria Rodriguez. Alexandria is a very dedicated and bright honors student here at JMMS. She does fantastic work in my history class and has excellent grades across the board. Alexandria is very helpful to her fellow students and almost always exceeds my expectation, both academically and behaviorally. She greets me every day, and before she leaves, she always shows me her latest artwork or sketch that she’s been working, and she is a gifted artist. Alexandria is a pleasure to have in my class, and I have great expectations for her in the future.
January 13, 2020 - Felicity Obregon
My Wildcat of The Week is Felicity Obregon. Felicity is such a hard worker and a joy to have in my class. She’s always cheerful and willing to help her classmates. Felicity is going to be successful at anything she puts her mind to. - Mr. Kitson
December 6, 2019 - Priscilla Castillo
My Wildcat of the Week is Priscilla Castillo. Priscilla is a hard working student who comes to class ready to learn. She excels in all subjects and participates in many sports here at John Muir Middle School. Her efforts and successes are the same on the field as they are in the classroom. Lastly, Priscilla displays all the pillars of character everyday in my classroom. This is why I chose her as my student of the week. - Mr. Martinez

My Wildcat of the Week is Victor Hernandez. Victor has indeed wowed me with his efforts in my class. Victor has been improving in grades, in completing work on time, and is determined to get things done. He is also a great leader in helping others. Keep up the good work! - Miss. Ramirez
November 1, 2019 - Mariana Moreno
It is my pleasure to recognize Mariana Moreno as my WOW student. Mariana deserves this award for her outstanding efforts in the classroom. Mariana is an active listener and is an active participant in classroom discussions. Some qualities that make her stand out are: she is always prepared to learn, she is constantly putting her full effort into every lesson and every assignment, and she is attentive and always on task. Lizbeth is an overall outstanding student. Whenever she does not understand something, she isn't afraid to ask for help. If I need assistance in doing something she is always willing to help me, even in her free time. I am so proud to have Lizbeth as a student! -Ms. Johnson
November 18, 2019 - Jorge Abundis Garcia
My Wildcat of the Week is Jorge Abundis Garcia. I am beyond proud to have this student in my classroom this year. From the very first day of school, this student has been a positive and supportive student in my classroom. His energy and personality are a big part of making my classroom a destination for student success. I can see how hard he works, and he is living up to his goal of promoting this year and getting himself ready for high school. I also have the privilege of being his coach and watching his hard work and determination. This is the reason why he made the team. He is an excellent teammate and has a good work ethic. Haley is a wonderful student who tries her best. She makes sure that her work is in on time. If she is absent, she asks for her work and completes it. She is well behaved and follows directions. I enjoy Haley in my class this year.
October 18, 2019 - Raul Sebastian Navarro

Mariela is a joy to have in my class. She is always prepared to learn and often offers to help out others struggling students. Every day she greets me with a handshake, and she always gets straight to work! She is an awesome student who will go on to do great things in the future! - Ms. Luttrell

I am honored to select the first WOW student of the year at John Muir Middle School. I am recognizing Rafael Lopez, who is in 8th grade. He has made major strides in both academic and social areas while attending John Muir Middle School. Rafael possesses several positive character traits, which he exhibits on campus. Rafael is attentive in class and puts forth exceptional effort in his academics. It has been an honor to be a part of his academic journey and I am proud of his accomplishments. - Ms. Oldham

My choice for Wildcat of the Week goes to a student who always has a smile on her face as she walks into class. She is always on task and goes beyond my expectations in her writing.
